Dr. Imran Ejotre is an interdisciplinary scientist, conservationist, educator, and social entrepreneur specializing in ecological health, One Health, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable nature-based development. As Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Biology at Muni University, he leads applied research, graduate training, and field-based conservation initiatives, with expertise spanning disease ecology, emerging infectious diseases, biodiversity, environmental impact assessment, and citizen science. He is also Co-founder and CEO of Shea Nut and Natural Oils Conservation Limited (SNNOC Ltd), where he promotes sustainable livelihoods through nature-based enterprise. At the Mind-Nature Institute, he brings scientific leadership, conservation expertise, and entrepreneurial experience to strengthen research, policy, education, and community action for resilient ecosystems and sustainable development across Africa.
Imran holds a PhD from Humboldt Universitaet zu Berlin.
